Our Construction Philosophy
Padraig Construction is dedicated to the highest standards of luxury custom homebuilding, remodeling, and commercial construction. When building a residential or commercial project to meet Florida Building Code, we always consider: A Team Approach, Sustainability, and Marketability.
1. A Team Approach. Padraig implements an “Integrated Design Process,” which identifies our “Project Team” to define the project’s scope with you, “the Owner.” You participate fully in the design process with other team members: Architect, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Professionals, Landscape Architect, and, if appropriate, Professional Stagers, and Real Estate Marketers.
Having the team in place prior to the design stage expedites the review and modification process, and identifies the related costs of proposed design changes well before the design is completed. This process revisits a modification’s impact upon the budget and helps you decide if you really want to implement the change.
2. Sustainability. This process reviews the potential benefits and costs of Green Building, including pursuing a LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), if you so desire. You may agree that respecting our environment is a universal responsibility, but you may be wary that Green Building is more expensive than conventionally built projects. Padraig Construction can help dispel that notion. We’ll compare and verify not only the typical hard and soft costs of a conventional building vs. a green building, but also the operational costs, life-cycle of the project, and future marketability.
3. Marketability. In today’s rapidly changing economy, you may want or need to sell your home or commercial property sooner than anticipated. Owning a high-performance, energy efficient home or building is a strong marketing tool that can give you a selling edge.
